Welcome back to Term 3

Posted in Uncategorized by skoenig on the July 15, 2009

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to Term 3.  Everyone has settled back into school well.  The students in 5OK have been presenting their PowerPoint Projects from last term.  Oral presentations are tricky, however all students have presented their work very well.  Remembering to speak clearly, make eye contact, stand still and know what they are presenting.  Great work!

Leave a comment telling us positive points about a PowerPoint you have seen.

Keep working hard!

Setting and Achieving Goals

Posted in Uncategorized by skoenig on the June 15, 2009

Today I told our class a story about me.  When I was in high school I learned how to play the flute.  I was not a natural talent, however I persisted and become better over the years.  When I was in Year Eleven I was asked to play a solo on the Piccolo in a competition in Melbourne.  I was very nervous and scared that I would make a big mistake and let down the whole band.  However I practiced really hard and believed in myself and in the end the performance was great.  I even bought a CD of it, so I have a copy of my piccolo solo to keep forever.  Today I let my class listen to it.  My goal at the time was to practice and complete a good performance.  I did it.

What are your goals for the rest of this year and how will you achieve them?  Leave a comment.

Well done to Luke and Alicia who this week recieved the ‘Managing Impulsivity’ award for this month. They are both examples of students who work hard and try their best. Because of the choices they make at school, both of them acheive great success. You are an excellent example to the rest of the class, keep up the terrific work!
